As a key stakeholder in the affairs of Isla Vista, it is pertinent that UC Santa Barbara have many staff members that act as liaisons to Isla Vista. Staff members serve a number of roles in bridging the relationship between UC Santa Barbara students and the greater Isla Vista community. The groups listed here comprise staff members that continually interact with the non-student community in Isla Vista.

The UCSB Alcohol & Drug Program strives to create a safe, healthy, and learning-conducive environment through the promotion of healthy choices concerning the use of alcohol, tobacco, and other drugs.

UCSB Housing, Dining & Auxiliary Enterprises provides housing and associated residential life services for UCSB’s undergraduate student, graduate student, and faculty population in Isla Vista and at UCSB.

The Associated Students (A.S.) of the University of California, Santa Barbara is a non-profit organization funded by undergraduate student fees. Through elected student positions and appointments we voice student concerns and express student opinion to the UCSB administration, UC system, our community, and state and local governments. A number of A.S. Units, Boards, and Commissions work directly in Isla Vista and make a combined financial investment of more than $540,000 annually in the community.
