
Tables & Chairs Lending Policy
§1. Purpose
This policy ensures the proper lending, use, and return of tables and chairs to maintain their condition and
availability for all users.
§2. Eligibility
- Tables and chairs are available for lending to UCSB students.
- A valid UCSB Access Card & Perm number is required to borrow tables and chairs.
- The UCSB student who fills out the form, otherwise referred to as the Borrower, must be present for pickup and dropoff.
- The access card of the Borrower must be collected upon pickup.
§3. Lending Process
- Requests must be submitted through the online form at least 48 hours in advance.
- Items are lent on a first-come, first-served basis and subject to availability.
- Borrowers must confirm pickup and return details before receiving the items.
- Upon pickup, the Borrower must give their Access Card to Pardall Center Staff, in exchange for rented items.
- The Borrower’s Access Card will be held at the Pardall Center for the duration of the rental.
- Upon the return of rented items, Pardall Center will return the Borrower’s Access Card to the Borrower.
§4. Lending Duration
- The standard lending period is two (2) business days, unless otherwise approved.
- Extensions must be requested in advance and are subject to approval.
§5. Responsibilities of the Borrower
- Tables and chairs must be handled with care and returned in clean and good condition.
- Any damage, loss, or theft must be reported immediately to Pardall Center Staff.
- Items should not be transferred to other individuals; the original borrower remains responsible.
- If primary contact is unable to drop off/pick up the borrowed items, please contact as-pardallcenter@ucsb.edu
§6. Fees & Penalties
- Lost or damaged items will result in repair or replacement charges case by case.
- Repeated violations may result in suspension of lending privileges.
§7. Returns & Inspections
- Items must be returned to the Pardall Center front desk by the agreed time.
- A staff member will inspect the tables and chairs upon return to verify their condition.
- Borrowers must check in with staff members to confirm the return.
§8. Policy Acknowledgement
By borrowing tables and chairs, the borrower agrees to comply with this policy. Non-compliance may result in
fees, replacement charges, or restrictions on future borrowing.
