Student life at Santa Barbara City College (SBCC) also defines the community of Isla Vista. Many SBCC students live in Isla Vista, and their interactions with the community are as important as that of UC Santa Barbara students. There are many Santa Barbara City College staff and student groups that work directly with Isla Vista to improve the community and the lives of SBCC students.
